(VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY) (COMMUNITY EVENTS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place –

Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the event mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions
detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply.

These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic
will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.

This Order will come into force on Thursday 2 March 2023 and will cease to have effect on Wednesday 10 May, 2023. The Order will only be effective only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Castle Hill from its junction with Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include Castle Hill Court – to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access Epaul Lane from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry

Boley Hill from its junction with High Street to its junction with St Margarets Street

Schedule B2-1:
Corporation Street (Chatham bound) no vehicle is permitted to right hand turn into Northgate Corporation Street (Strood bound) no vehicle is permitted to right turn into Gas House Road

Intermittent road closures

The roads above will be closed intermittently throughout these dates to allow for vehicle/plant ingress and/or egress to the Castle Gardens and Castle Moat area

Suspension of on-street parking bays as indicated by signs. Suspension of single yellow line
restrictions to no parking at any time, as indicated by signs and AAT cones

Traffic Prohibitions
Sharps Green, traffic movements will be restricted to allow vehicles to travel north to south only from the
access road Riverside to the junction with the B2004
Bloors Wharf at its junction with the B2004, Traffic will be permitted to turn left (east) only onto the B2004
B2004, no vehicle is permitted to left hand turn into Riverside Country Park main entrance eastbound
B2004, no vehicle is permitted to right hand turn into Riverside Country Park main entrance westbound

No waiting at any time:
Lower Rainham Road from its eastern side Yokosuka Way to its western side junction of Berengrave Lane
Lower Twydall Lane from its southern side junction B2004 to its northern side junction Grange Road
Eastcourt Lane from its southern side junction B2004 to its northern junction Grange Road
Lower Featherby Road from its southern side junction B2004 to its northern junction Grange Road
Grange Road from its western junction Featherby Road to the entrance to the Farm shop
