What is planned?

Telford & Wrekin Council (Willow Bank and Various Other Roads, Dawley Hamlets) (Prohibitions and Restrictions of Waiting) Traffic Regulation Order 2023 

The Council gives notice that it proposes to make the following Traffic Order. All prohibitions, restrictions and provisions apply to the roads in Dawley Hamlets Area (Telford & Wrekin) and the general effects of the Order are to:-

1) To introduce or amend the prohibit waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on parts of the following roads; Aragorn Way, Beedles Close, Bridge Road, Concorde, Deuxhill Close, Domas Way, Drayton Way, Duxmore Way, Earls drive, Finger Road, green way, Huntsman Way, Nickless Way, Skelton Close, Viscount Avenue, Wellington Road, White Horse Close, Willow Bank and Woodhouse Lane.

2) To introduce No Waiting restrictions (single yellow line) operating 8.30am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive in the following length(s) of road(s); 1) Old Office Road, north-west side; from 15 metres north- east of old Office Road/Conroy Drive junction in a north-easterly direction for 130 metres to the road closure. 2) South-east side; from the road closure in a south-westerly direction including the hammer head for a distance of 49 metres. 

3) To introduce No Waiting restrictions (single yellow line) operating 8am to 9am and 2.30pm to 3.30pm on Monday to Friday inclusive in the following length(s) of road(s); 1) Aragorn Way, north-west side; from 10 metres west of Viscount Avenue in a south-westerly direction to a point 18 metres north-east of the north-east of the south-western extremity. 2) South-east side; from 10 metres west of Viscount Avenue in a south-westerly direction to a point 19 metres north-east of the north-east of the south-western extremity. 3) Viscount Avenue, east side; from 15 metres south-west of Willow Bank in a south- westerly and then south-easterly direction to a point 13 metres south-east of the centreline for the junction of Earls Drive.

4) North-west side; from 15 metres south-west of Willow Bank in a south-westerly direction to a point 13 metres north-east of the centreline for the junction of Aragorn Way.

5) South-west side; From 13 metres north-west of the centreline for the junction of Earls Drive in a northerly direction to a point 13 metres south of the centreline for the junction of Aragorn Way.

 6) Willow Bank, North-east side; from 13 metres south-east of the centreline for the junction of Beedles Close in a south-easterly direction for 53 metres

 7) From 28 metres south-east of Castlefields Way in a south-easterly direction to a point 13 metres north-west of the centreline for the junction of Beedles Close. 8) South-west side; from 13 metres south-east of the centreline for the junction of Beedles Close in a south-easterly direction for 52 metres. 4) To revoke certain existing prohibitions and restrictions from the following Orders;

The purpose of the proposed Order is to improve the free flow of traffic by removing indiscriminate parking on the public highway and improving safety for pedestrian on the footway affected by this Order.
