What is planned?

NOTICE OF MAKING ARTICLE FOUR DIRECTION
ROTHER DISTRICT COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING
(GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT)
(ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 (as amended)
The Rother District Council (Land at Fairlight Cove, Fairlight) Direction No. 2, 2022

NOTICE IS GIVEN that having carried out consultations on the making of the above Direction Rother District Council, on 20th January 2023, confirmed the above Direction under article 4 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) relating to the areas of land referred to the First Schedule to this Notice referring to particular classes of development listed in the Second Schedule below and more particularly detailed in the Schedule to the said Direction. The effect of the Direction is that the permissions granted by article 3 of the General Permitted Development Order shall not apply to such developments and such developments shall not be carried out within those areas of land unless planning permission is granted by the Council. These restrictions will apply from 30th September 2023, when the Direction comes into effect.

Any person wishing to carry out any of the developments listed below which are restricted by the above Direction should make application for that development to Planning, Rother District Council, Town Hall, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, TN39 3JX

A copy of the Direction and of the map defining the area of land to which it relates can be viewed on the Council’s website : www.rother.gov.uk/FairlightArticle4 or by appointment at the Town Hall, Bexhill on Sea, TN39 3JX, during normal office hours.

FIRST SCHEDULE
Land at Fairlight Cove, Fairlight, shown outlined in red on the map annexed to the Direction

SECOND SCHEDULE
Development consisting of:–
provision within the curtilage of the dwellinghouse of any building or enclosure, swimming or other pool, maintenance improvement or other alteration to such building or enclosure and provision of oil or LPG storage containers within Part 1, Class E.
