What is happening?
(A781 WHITESANDS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) No. 2 ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A781 Whitesands, at south entrance to Whitesands, east carpark from 0800 on 02/11/2026 to 1700 on 06/11/2026. The closure is necessary to facilitate trial pit investigation works. Alternative route available via north entrance to Whitesands, east carpark. Emergency access will not be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Written comments may be made to Head of Economy and Development by email to Planning@dumgal.gov.uk or via the Council’s website, as noted above, by 06/11/2026 (Type A).
