What is happening?
(A702 DALRY – EDINBURGH VIA THORNHILL)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) NO.3 ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A702 from its junction with Main Street, Penpont to Penpont Holiday Village from 9am on 16/10/2026 to 5pm on 30/10/2026.
The closure is necessary to facilitate carriageway reconstruction works. Alternative route available via A702, A76, B729, A702 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Written comments may be made to Head of Economy and Development by email to Planning@dumgal.gov.uk or via the Council’s website, as noted above, by 23/10/2026 (Type A).
