A710 Dumfries – New Abbey - Dalbeattie - Multiple Traffic and Planning Notices

(A710 DUMFRIES – NEW ABBEY - DALBEATTIE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A710 between Holm Farm and East Lodge, Southwick, Dumfries from 0800 to 1700 on 21/10/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via A710, A711, A710 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C24S KIPPFORD – TEMPORARY OBSTRUCTION 15 MIN DELAYS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily obstruct the C24s from The Anchor Hotel to Mole Cottage, Kippford, from 0900 on 19/10/2026 to 1800 on 22/10/2026. This will restrict the use of the road for periods up to but not exceeding 15 minutes at any one time, and there is at least one hour between such delays. The temporary obstruction is necessary to facilitate sewer cleaning and CCTV survey.

Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
