NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Crompton
Road, Macclesfield

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic. 

Prohibition of traffic – Crompton Road, Macclesfield – From the junction of Preston Street West to the junction of Park Lane.

The alternative route will be via Park Lane, Oxford Road, Beaford Road, Brough Street West, Crompton Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Friday 1st October 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 1st November 2026.
