1. NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with Section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the District Council of Adur (“the Council”), the owner of the land described below, intends to dispose of an area of public open space being the land at buildings at Eastbrook Manor Community Centre, West Road, Southwick, BN41 1QH (“Eastbrook Community Centre”).
2. The council proposes to lease the land and buildings at Eastbrook Community Centre for a term of 30 years, to be used as a community hub with active engagement and inclusive provision for the benefit of the Adur community.
3. The land and buildings comprise a total area measuring approximately 1,610 square metres.
4. A plan showing the location and boundaries for proposed lease area will be held at the Council Offices Reception, Worthing Town Hall, Chapel Road, Worthing, BN11 1HA and The Shoreham Centre 2 Pond Road Shoreham by Sea West Sussex BN43 5WU and may be inspected between 09:00am and 17:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 09:00am and 16:00pm on Friday (public holidays excluded).
5. Any objections should be made in writing and marked for the attention of the “Major Projects and Investment Team” at Adur and Worthing Councils, with the reference “Eastbrook Manor” and delivered to the Town Hall, Chapel Road, Worthing, BN11 1HA or by email to

propertyteam@adur-worthing.gov.uk

by no later than 17:00pm on Thursday 15th October 2026.
