NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Water Street, Macclesfield

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Water Street, Macclesfield – From the junction of Great King Street to the junction of Waterloo Street West.

The alternative route will be via Waterloo Street West, Bridge Street, Great King Street which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 2nd November 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 9th November 2026

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Victoria Road, Macclesfield

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Victoria Road, Macclesfield – From the junction of Priory Lane to Bridge House.

The alternative route will be via the following streets:-
Victoria Road, Prestbury Road, Cumberland Street Roundabout, Cumberland Street, Chester Road, Ivy Road Roundabout, Broken Cross, Fallibroome Road

This order will come into operation on Saturday 24th October 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Wednesday 4th November 2026.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Jackson Lane, Bollington

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Jackson Lane, Bollington – From outside of properties 3 and 5

The alternative route will be via Oak Lane, Clarke Lane, Bollington Road, Henshall Road, Grimshaw Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 5th October 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 16th October 2026.
