NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Various Locations Within Crewe

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Stoneley Road, Crewe – From North Street Roundabout to the junction of Stoneley Avenue.

Broad Street, Crewe – From the junction of North Street Roundabout to House No 237.

Middlewich Street, Crewe – From the junction of Middlewich Street to North Street Roundabout.

North Street, Crewe – From the junction of Farrier Court to North Street Roundabout.

For specific diversions please visit one.network

This order will come into operation on Saturday 17th October 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 7th March 2027.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Various Roads In Buerton/Audlem

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic. 

Prohibition of traffic – Kettle Lane, Buerton – For the full extent
Paddock Lane, Audlem – From the junction of Kettle Lane to the junction of Woore Road

This order will come into operation on Monday16th of November 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 21st of December 2026 If you have any enquiries relating to the works, please contact United Utilities on 0345 672 3723.

NOTICE OF MAKING
(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, LOADING, STOPPING AND STREET PARKING
PLACES) (VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022
(AMENDMENT NO.46) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that on 24th September 2026 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124, and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act. 

The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 23 November 2026, will be to –
a) Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by replacing the restrictions as outlined in Schedules 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No. DP97 Rev 0 with Rev 1 and DQ97 Rev 0 with Rev 1 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS

– Public Footpath No. 1 in the Parish of Hatherton and Public Footpath No.1 (Part) in the Parish of Austerson

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 17th October 2028. The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

Public Footpath No. 1 in the Parish of Hatherton, shown on the plan by a bold solid black line, and which commences at OSGR SJ 6766 4858 and runs in a generally east south easterly direction for approx. 700m to OSGR SJ 6701 4836.

That length of Footpath No. 1 (part) in the Parish of Austerton, shown on the plan by a bold solid black line, and which commences at OSGR SJ 6701 4836 and runs in a generally south easterly direction for approx. 172m to OSGR SJ 6646 4801.

This closure is necessary due to an unsafe bridge.

There is no alternative route.
