NOTICE OF DEDICATION OF A PUBLIC PATH BETWEEN PUBLIC FOOTPATH HUDDERSFIELD 169
AND BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC HUDDERSFIELD 171 AT CASTLE HILL, ALMONDBURY
On 22 September 2026 Kirklees Council dedicated a public right of way on foot over its land at Castle Hill, Almondbury.
The public footpath commences at its junction with byway open to all traffic Huddersfield 171 (Hill Side) at grid reference SE 1525 1407 (Point A on Plan B) and proceeds in a generally north-westerly direction to the steps at grid reference SE 1521 1410 (Point B on Plan B) then south-westerly to its junction with public footpath Huddersfield 169 at grid reference SE 1517 1404 (Point C on Plan B). The width of the public footpath is 2 metres. A copy of the Deed of Dedication and Plans may be obtained by contacting the Council’s Public Rights of Way team by email: publicrightsofway@kirklees.gov.uk
