Hanslope Footpath 38 - Public Path Diversion Order

NOTICE OF MAKING

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 SECTION 53A(2)

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order was made on the 22nd September 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-

To divert part of the existing public footpath, as shown between labelled points A-E-D, on attached plan. The route starts close to the property boundary of No. 3 Mundays Meadow where it accesses the road at point A (OS Grid Reference SP 79978 47485) and travels north-eastwards for approximately 76 metres to reach point E (OS Grid Reference SP 80042 47526) where it travels through a field boundary. It then turns north-westwards following a field edge for approximately 59 metres to join with the existing route of Hanslope Footpath 32 at point D (OS Grid Reference SP 80006 47573).

The proposed diverted route from the existing junctions at points A and D will have a total length of approximately 135 metres and will have a minimum width of 1.8 metres and is across a grass surface.

and on public display within a window marked Public Notices, located to the far left of the frontage of Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be purchased at the price of £3.00 by writing to Legal Services, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Office, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, enclosing a cheque made payable to Milton Keynes City Council. Any representations about or objections to the Order together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and contain contact details and sent to the Head of Legal Services, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes MK9 3EJ to be received no later than 22nd October 2026, quoting reference PE-ZD-36960 Anonymous objections cannot be accepted.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are
withdrawn Milton Keynes City Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
