(ROOD FAIR, DUMFRIES) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C202n Dockhead and A781 Whitesands from 18:00 on 28/9/26 to 22:00 on 4/10/26.

The closure is necessary in the interests of road safety for occupation of part of the carriageway to allow for holding of the Annual Rood Fair. The alternative routes are:- i) Dockhead closed to northbound traffic – via St Michaels Bridge Rd, St Michaels St and Nith St, ii) Whitesands closed to southbound traffic between Bank St and Nith St – via Bank St, Irish St and Nith St.

DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY REGIONAL COUNCIL (VARIOUS CAR PARKS) (USE RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 1985 (AS AMENDED) SUSPENSION OF USE OF BROOMS ROAD CAR PARK, DOCKHEAD CAR PARK, DOCKPARK CAR PARK AND WHITESANDS (WEST) CAR PARK, DUMFRIES

In accordance with the provisions of the above Traffic Regulation Order, the Council gives notice that the use of the Brooms Road Car Park (area near to Brooms Road) shall be suspended from 18:00 on 28/9/26 to 22:00 on 4/10/26 and Dockhead Car Park / Whitesands (west) Car Park 18:00 on 28/9/26 to 22:00 on 4/10/26 to accommodate vehicles/trailers associated with the annual Rood Fair.

(C125N CAIRNHALL - PENPONT) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C125n between its junction with C114n at Allanton Mill and its junction with U376n at Glenhead, Auldgirth from 0800 to 1700 on 29/09/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via C125n, C114n, A76, B731, A702, C126n, C125n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U856N MUNCHES STREET & U898N QUEENSBERRY STREET) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on U856n Munches Street at its junction with U898n Queensberry Street, Dumfries, 4 No. disabled parking bays, from 0800 on 28/09/26 to 1600 on 24/09/27, and only when indicated by display of signs appropriate under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. The temporary suspension of parking is necessary to facilitate safe passage for vehicles during construction works.

(U69N BARNHILL ROAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U69n between No.25 and No.29 Barnhill Road, Dumfries from 0930 to 2100 on 30/09/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate defective ironwork repairs. No alternative route available. Local access will be maintained. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U107N ISLE-OF-MAN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) No. 4 ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U107n Isle-of-Man Road, Dumfries at Level Crossing from 2200 on 01/10/26 to 0600 on 02/10/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate on/off tracking of road rail vehicle. No alternative route available. Local access will be maintained. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U933N STEWARTRY ROAD, DUMFRIES) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) No. 4 ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U933n Stewartry Road, Dumfries from No. 7 to just beyond Margaret Walk Junction from 1700 on 27/09/26 to 1700 on 25/10/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing water main diversion and excavate and lay sewer. Alternative route available via College Road, Priory Road, Elizabeth Walk and vice versa. Emergency access will not be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time, there will be no access into Margaret Walk from the crossroads.
