NOTICE OF production OF CONSULTATION DRAFT PLANNING guidance FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2:
WHITHORN CONSERVATION AREA Character Appraisal and Management Plan
Dumfries and Galloway Council has opened a public consultation on draft planning guidance to Local Development Plan 2: Whithorn Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan. The consultation will last until Tuesday 27th October 2026 and the document is available to view online at: www.dumgal.gov.uk/consultations
A paper copy will also be available in Whithorn Library, St.John Street, during its opening hours.

(U114S EWANSTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U114s near Ewanston Farm, Balmaclellan from 0800 to 1700 on 25/09/2026. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works.
Alternative route available via U114s, A712, U137s and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
