Fylde Council
Public Consultation
Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England)
Regulations 2012:
Regulation 19
Fylde Local Plan to 2042

The Council is consulting on the Fylde Local Plan to 2042 for six weeks from Friday 18th September 2026 to 5pm on Friday 30th October 2026. Representations are invited on the Fylde Local Plan to 2042. The Plan will allocate land to provide for development needs and identifies areas that should be protected from development, including important green spaces and areas of nature, as well as areas where development should be restricted to retain the distinctive character of Fylde. Previously, the Council consulted on the Options, Issues, Vision and Scope of the Fylde Local Plan to 2042. Representations received during that consultation have been taken into account in preparing the Publication Version of the Plan. The Proposed Submission (Regulation 19) consultation is a key stage in the preparation of the Local Plan. It is the final opportunity to comment on the proposed Plan before it is submitted to the Secretary of State for examination by an independent Inspector. The consultation provides an opportunity for members of the public and other interested parties to comment on the Plan. All representations received will be submitted to the Secretary of State alongside the Plan for consideration as part of the independent examination process.
