NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF MODIFICATION ORDER

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STANTONBURY FOOTPATH 17) MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

On the 10th of August 2026, the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed without modification the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them a public footpath commencing from the highway (cycleway) at SP 82370 40449 (Point A on the order plan) and then running north westerly for approximately 19 metres to grid reference SP SP82353 40458 (Point B on the order plan), continues generally north north westerly for approximately 234 metres to grid reference SP 82296 40684 (point C on the order plan), continues in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 176 metres to a junction with highway (cycleway) at grid reference SP 82408 40799 (point D on order plan).

A copy of the Notice, the confirmed Order and Plan have been placed and may be seen online at

and on public display within a window marked Public Notices, located to the far left of the frontage of Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at the price of £3.00 by writing to Rights of Way, Milton Keynes City Council, 53 Colts Holm Road, Old Wolverton, MK12 5QD, enclosing a cheque made payable to Milton Keynes City Council. Please quote reference PE-FR-029900.

If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Act, or that any requirements of Schedule 15 of the Act have not been complied with in relation to it, he or she may, within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act make an application to the High Court.
