Public Notice of Solvent Winding Down

of an Unincorporated Social Club

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at a duly convened meeting of the members of Weir Social & Recreation Club, of 1 Church Street, Alloa, FK10 1DH, held on 9 August 2023, the members resolved that the Club, being solvent, should be wound down and its affairs brought to an end in accordance with the Club’s constitution. The Club is an unincorporated association and is not incorporated as a company or registered as a charity.

The winding down is being carried out on a solvent basis. The persons authorised by the members to deal with the winding down of the Club’s affairs are BTG Advisory, of 2 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 6LU. Any person who believes they have a claim against the Club, or who holds any property belonging to the Club, should submit written details to Drew Campbell, at 2 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 6LU or by email to drew.campbell@btguk.com  no later than 30 October 2026.

After that date, the authorised persons intend to settle any known liabilities, realise or distribute any remaining assets in accordance with the Club’s constitution and the members’ resolution, and take such further steps as are necessary to conclude the affairs of the Club.

This notice is given for public information only and should not be read as a notice under the Insolvency Act 1986 or as a notice of appointment of a liquidator/trustee.
