Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CC52 between A28 Wincheap and Hop Garden Way from the 14 September 2026.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen by November 2026.

The path is closed because of replacement gas works.

The alternative route is via Hop Garden Way, Victoria Road, A28 Wincheap and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CH23 between NGR TR 1780 6635 and TR 1787 6632, to the east of Thanet Way from the 05 October 2026.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The path is to be closed because of the construction of a new path at the crossing of the Spine Road.

The alternative route is via a diversion on site and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14

DOVER DISTRICT COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH ED39 (part), DEAL)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order was made on 13 August 2026 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered ED39 which commences at its connection with Public Footpath EE390 at the Deal/Sholden Parish boundary at NGR TR 3563 5228 (point A) and runs south south-west for 275 metres to its connection with an unaffected length of Public Footpath ED39 at NGR TR 3555 5202 (point B), as shown by a bold continuous line between points A-B on the Order plan, and it will add a new length of Public Footpath numbered ED39, with a width of 3.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs south-west then south south-east for 345 metres to the aforementioned point B, as shown by a bold continuous line between points A-B on the Order plan.

All directions are general, all distances are approximate.

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Dover District Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

The paths will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The paths are closed because works are planned on or near them.

The alternative route is via public footpaths EE386 and ED37 and Scarlett Lane and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF KENT

IN THE DISTRICT OF FOLKESTONE AND HYTHE

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS HB88 AND HB89, HYTHE) DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

The above Order was made on 26 August 2026 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding (a) a public footpath numbered HB88 which commences on Public Footpath HB58 at NGR TR 1579 3464 (Point A on the order plan) and runs in a southerly direction for 25 metres to its connection with Portland Road at NGR TR 1579 3462 (Point X) and also from Portland Road at NGR TR 1579 3461 (Point Y) and runs in a southerly direction for 141 metres to Public Footpath HB61 at NGR TR 1578 3446 (Point B), with a width of 1.5 metres between Points A and X and a width of 1.2 metres between Points Y and B. And (b) a public footpath numbered HB89 with a width of 1.2 metres which commences on Public Footpath HB61 at NGR TR 1551 3451 (Point C) and runs in an east-northeasterly direction for 218 metres to Public Footpath HB59 at NGR TR 1572 3458 (Point D).

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath KMX7 between its junction with footpath KMX19 to its junction with the path that runs from Park Avenue & Public Footpath KMX19 from its junction with Knowle Road to its junction with KMX7 from the 05 October 2026

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected KMX19 will re-open after 3-4 weeks and KMX7 will re-open by 12 December 2026

The path is closed because works are planned on or near it to replace the failed retaining wall.

There will be no alternative route for KMX19 and the alternative route for KMX7 is via the adjoining footways.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 15 February 2027

The path is to be closed because there are groundworks and drainage works in relation to the development of 34 residential homes.

The alternative route is via Angley Road, Sheafe Drive, Quaker Lane and Public Footpath WC99.
