(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway repair works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C5018 High Nibthwaite, from its junction with the U5051, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 100 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the A5084, A593, B5285 and the unrestricted section of the C5018.

The Order will come into operation on 21st September 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
