What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(LEA ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Lea Road from its
junction with Lyndhurst Road to outside property 85.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken
from 7 September 2026 until 8 September 2026, between
the hours of 18:00 and 06:00 only.
The diversion route is: Penn Road, Stubbs Road and vice
versa.
The Order is required to facilitate works to repair defects in
the sewer line by Severn Trent Water.
