PUBLIC NOTICE

APPLICATION FOR PREMISES TO BE APPROVED AS A VENUE FOR
MARRIAGES IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 26(1)(bb) OF THE MARRIAGES ACT 1949 AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 6(3A)(a) OF THE CIVIL PARTNERSHIP ACT 2004

Sheffield City Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on the 8 August 2026, Brocco Hotel Ltd applied to us for an Approval to use the following premises:

Brocco On The Park, 92 Brocco Bank, Sheffield, S11 8RS

for marriages and civil partnerships conducted by a Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Sunday inclusive; subject to the availability of Registry Service Staff.

Any person wishing to object to the intended application may do so in writing (stating the full the grounds on which the objection is based), addressed to the

licensingservice@sheffield.gov.uk

or by post to Licensing Service, Block C, Staniforth Road Depot, Staniforth Road, Sheffield, S9 3HD.

Any such letter must arrive by: 17 September 2026 not less than 21 clear days after the date of advertisement of this notice.

Any person who may wish to inspect the application and the plan of the premises which identifies the room or rooms in which a marriage or civil partnership may, if approved, be solemnised, may do so by writing to

licensingservice@sheffield.gov.uk

or by post Licensing Service, Block C, Staniforth Road Depot, Staniforth Road, Sheffield, S9 3HD until such time as the application has been determined by the Local Authority or the application has been withdrawn.
