(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable noisy manhole frame and cover repairs to be carried out -
Lower Rainham Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Gadds Hill and Yokosuka Way to the junction with Station Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Yokosuka Way, High Street and Station Road in both directions.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 31 August 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on Monday, 31 August 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(OLD ROAD, CHATHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new water connection to be made -
Old Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between its junction with The Mount to its junction with Gibraltar Hill. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via (a) North-eastbound traffic: Gibraltar Hill, Railway Street Roundabout, Gibraltar Hill and New Road; and (b) all other traffic: New Road and Gibraltar Hill.
This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 7 days. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable flow meter readings to be monitored to prevent flooding and sewage entering the watercourse -
Goddington Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic fully across its junction with Hillside Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via (for Goddington Road traffic): Cliffe Road and Frindsbury Road in both directions; (for Hillside Avenue and Honeypot Close traffic): Mill Road in both directions.
This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. UNDER SECTION 14(1)(B) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place –
Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the events mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below.
Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.
This Order will come into force on Sunday, 20 September 2026 and will cease to have effect on Sunday, 29 November 2026. The Order will only be effective when the appropriate signs are displayed.
