Yorkshire Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from surface water at National Grid Reference SD 99 37.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
• 1,000 cubic metres an hour • 24,000 cubic metres a day
• 6,951,230 cubic metres a year.
The water will be used for public water supply.

The application is a different terms renewal of an existing abstraction licence. The application seeks to renew the existing time-limited abstraction arrangements and includes proposed changes to the compensation flow conditions.
