DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE
Hyndburn Borough Council hereby gives notice of its intention to dispose by way of sale the following areas of land for development:
• 0.37 acres or thereabouts of land at Madden Street, Church, Accrington. The land is currently used as informal open space.
• 0.2 acres or thereabouts of land at Beech Street, Great Harwood. The land is currently used as informal open space.
• 0.49 acres or thereabouts of land at Back Lane, Baxenden. The land is currently used as informal open space.
• 1.45 acres or thereabouts of land at Lower Barnes Street, Clayton Le Moors. The land is currently used as informal open space.
Plans showing the boundaries of the sites are available for public inspection at the Council Offices in Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Anyone wishing to object to the disposal of any of these open spaces should forward their comments in writing to the Council’s Corporate Property department at the above address or email corporateproperty@hyndburnbc.gov.uk by Friday the 4th September 2026.
