What is happening?

(KIRKCUDBRIGHT TATTOO) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close St Cuthbert Street at junction with Beaconsfield Place and High Street at Harbour Cottage Gallery and Castle Street just before Masonic Arms from 14:00 to 23:00 on 29/8/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate a Tattoo. Alt route: via St Mary’s St, High St, Castle St and vice versa. Pedestrian access will be restricted during the actual event to ticket holders.

The applications, associated plans and documents can be viewed on-line by following the ePlanning link on the Council’s website at www.dumfriesandgalloway.gov.uk/planning. Written comments may be made to Head of Economy and Development by email to Planning@dumgal.gov.uk or via the Council’s website, as noted above, by 10/09/2026 (Type B).
