Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CC52 between A28 Wincheap and Hop Garden Way from the 14 September 2026.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen by November 2026.

The path is to be closed because of replacement gas works.

The alternative route is via Hop Garden Way, Victoria Road, A28 Wincheap and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public Footpath EE174 in the Parish of Wingham

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 11 July 2026, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from FP EE174 has been extended for a further 6 months, until the 10 January 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

The path is closed between Miller Close and Staple Road

The alternative route is Miller Close and the southern boundary of the field by Staple Road and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath WC97 in the Parish of Cranbrook

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath WC97 between Angley Road and Public Footpath WC99 from the 14 September 2026

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 15 February 2027

The path is to be closed because there are groundworks and drainage works in relation to the development of 34 residential homes.

The alternative route is via Angley Road, Sheafe Drive, Quaker Lane and Public Footpath WC99.
