What is happening?

APPLICATION FOR A MARINE SEA DISPOSAL LICENCE UNDER PART 4 OF THE MARINE AND COASTAL ACCESS ACT 2009

A Marine Licence application has been made by Belfast Harbour Commissioners to dispose of 980,000t of natural sediment dredged from the Harbour’s berths and approach channels in the licensed offshore location contained within a 0.50 nautical mile radius of 54°45.3’N and 05°29.6’W in the Irish Sea.

Marine and Fisheries Division DAERA, is the Marine Licensing authority for Northern Ireland, and controls the deposit of materials from the high water mean spring tide mark out to 12 nautical miles.
