BARLEYCORN DRIVE, GILLINGHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the excavation of a joint bay and trenches to customers properties to be carried out -

Barleycorn Drive, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between across the frontage of 54 Barleycorn Drive. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route will be available. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 7 September 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 7 September 2026 and are programmed for completion within 9 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CROWN STREET, GILLINGHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable storage and parking for works being carried out in a private area -

Crown Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with East Street to the junction with Kingswood Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via East Street and Kingswood Road in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 10 August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 19 days. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

EDINBURGH ROAD, GRAIN

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply repairs to be carried out -

Edinburgh Road, Grain - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 7 Edinburgh Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. No alternative route is available. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 17 August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 5 days. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

GODDINGTON ROAD, STROOD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable flow meter readings to be monitored to prevent flooding and sewage entering the watercourse -

Goddington Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic fully across its junction with Hillside Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available
(a) for Goddington Road traffic via Cliffe Road and Frindsbury Road in both directions; and
(b) for Hillside Avenue and Honeypot Close traffic via Mill Road.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

LORDSWOOD LANE, CHATHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new gas connection to be installed -

Lordswood Lane, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontages of 269 and 271 Lordswood Lane. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via North Dane Way, Princes Avenue and Swift Crescent in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 17 August 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 17 August 2026 and are programmed for completion within 8 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable flow meter monitoring to be carried out -

Melbourne Road, Chatham - to be closed from Sturla Road for 100 metres north-westwards.

Sturla Road, Chatham - to be closed from Melbourne Road for 100 metres north-eastwards. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed as the works progress.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 8 September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable engineers to access an underground structure to provide service to a customer -

Reed Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from its junction with North Road for approximately 118 metres in an easterly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

An alternative route will be available via Thatchers Lane, Swingate Avenue and Church Street in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 13 August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

ROCHESTER HIGH STREET AREA

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to amend the existing no vehicles restriction, operating Saturdays 10am-4pm, to also cover Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am-4pm -

The following roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic:

(a) Boley Hill between Epaul Lane and High Street; Northgate between Cathedral Garage Car Park and High Street; Blue Boar Lane between Blue Boar Lane Car Park exit and High Street; Crow Lane between Vines Lane and The Moat House Hall.

Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be available and signed as the works progress. One way restrictions will be suspended as necessary to facilitate access.

This Order will come into force on Friday, 7 August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were expected to commence under a Notice on Monday, 3 August which will be replaced by the made order on 7 August and are programmed for completion within 12 days. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a decayed telegraph pole to be removed and replaced -

Sir Evelyn Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the frontage of 62 Sir Evelyn Road for 50 metres in each direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Valley View Road, Maidstone Road (B2097) in both

directions.

This Order will come into force on Friday, 14 August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are expected to commence on or after that date and are programmed for completion within 4 days. The restrictions will apply only while the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
