The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C6n from the A701 towards Ae village from 0930 to 1530 on 03/08/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement. Alternative route available via C6n, A701, C3n, C42n, C6n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(U933N STEWARTRY ROAD, DUMFRIES)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) No. 3 ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U933n Stewartry Road, Dumfries from No. 7 to just beyond Margaret Walk Junction from 1700 on 03/08/26 to 1700 on 27/09/26.
The closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing water main diversion and excavate and lay sewer. Alternative route available via College Road, Priory Road, Elizabeth Walk and vice versa.
Emergency access will not be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained. During this time, there will be no access into Margaret Walk from the crossroads.
C8N COLLIN – JERICHO BRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C8n South of West Roucan Cottages, Low Road, Torthorwald from 08:00 to 17:00 on 05/08/26.
The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via A709, C7n, A701TR, C8n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(B729 DUMFRIES – CARSPHAIRN NO. 2)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close B729 at Cluden Lodge, near Holywood, Dumfries from 09:30 to 15:30 on 05/08/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works.
Alternative route available via A76TR, A702, B729 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(U18N GALLABERRY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U18n from the junction of C11n towards West Galaberry, Kirkmahoe from 0800 on 06/08/26 to 1700 on 10/08/26.
The closure is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs. Alternative route available via C11n, U17n, U18n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
