Notice of Application for the transfer of a Licence.

TAKE NOTICE that APPL LTD (Company Number NI739699) whose registered office is situate at 75 Newry Street, Banbridge, Co. Down, United Kingdom, BT32 3EA intends to apply at Banbridge Magistrates Court sitting at Newry Courthouse, The Courthouse, 23 New St, Newry BT35 6JD on the 30 July 2026 at 10am for the transfer to it of a Licence at present held by Bus Bar Banbridge Limited the registered office of which is situate at River House, Home Avenue, Newry, Co. Down, BT34 2DL for the premises situate at 75 Newry Street, Banbridge, BT32 3EA being premises of the following kind according to the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, namely premises specified in Article 5(1)(a) namely premises in which the business carried on under the licence is the business of selling intoxicating liquor by retail for consumption in or off the premises.



A Protection Order authorising the said APPL LTD to carry on business under the Licence was granted on 4 June 2026 by Banbridge Magistrates Court sitting at Newry Courthouse, The Courthouse, 23 New St, Newry BT35 6JD for the period of six months from the date of the Order.



APPL LTD shall be the owner of the business carried on under the Licence and the owner of the premises.



The Licence will be deposited with the Clerk of Petty Sessions before or at the hearing of the Application.



FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person owning or residing or carrying on business in premises in the vicinity of the premises for which the transfer of the Licence is sought who intends to object must in accordance with paragraph 4 of Schedule 5 of the said Order serve Notice of Intention to Object upon the Applicant and the Clerk of Petty Sessions not less than one week before the hearing of the Court application.



AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the permissible grounds of objection are specified in Article 22(6) of the said Order namely unfitness of the applicant, failure to comply with the correct procedure or that the business carried on in the premises under the Licence has been discontinued.
