PUBLIC NOTICE- HACKNEY CARRIAGE FARES
Section 65 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions)
Act 1976.
NOTICE is hereby given that South Ribble Borough Council has been requested to vary the Hackney Carriage tariff fares as follows:
Current charge
New proposed charge
For first two tenths of a mile
Tariff 1 - 2.70
2.90
Tariff 2 - 3.50
3.70
Tariff 3 - 4.50
4.70
For each succeeding tenth of a mile
Tariff 1 – 20p
24p
Tariff 2 – 25p
29p
Tariff 3 – 35p
39p
Any person wishing to object to the increase in Hackney Carriage tariff fares should do so in writing to Licensing, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland PR251DH.
Any objections must be received not later than 13th July 2026.
