MAGISTRATES’ COURTS (BETTING, GAMING, LOTTERIES AND AMUSEMENTS)
(NO. 2) RULES (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1987

Notice is given to all holders of the above existing licences that the statutory renewal date
is 1 September 2026.
Notice of Application for Renewal must be served not later than 11th August 2026.
Applicants should take note of Articles 16, 20, Schedule 3 and Rule 7 (Bookmakers’
Licences) and Articles 18, 20, Schedule 4 and Rule 6 (Bookmaking Office Licences) of the
said order and Rules.
Any person intending to object on the grounds specified in Article 17 (Bookmakers’
Licences) and Article 19 (Bookmaking Office Licences) of the Order, shall, not later than
25th August 2026: -
a) Serve upon the applicant notice of his intention to object briefly stating his grounds for so
doing and
b) Serve a copy of the notice on the Clerk of Petty Sessions at the appropriate courthouse.
