(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable overhead transfer of wires on multiple poles -

Fenn Street, Ratcliffe Highway and Newlands Farm Road, St Mary Hoo, - to be closed to all vehicular traffic in Fenn Street from opposite 2 Forge Cottages to opposite Portika; in Ratcliffe Highway from outside Garage to outside East Mead; and in Newlands Farm Road outside Portika. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed as the works progress.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 13 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(ESPLANADE, ROCHESTER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable new fibre optic cable and duct installation works -

Esplanade Rochester –

(a) Eastbound traffic over Rochester Bridge to be prohibited from turning right into Esplanade; and

(b) Northbound traffic in Esplanade to be prohibited from turning right into Corporation Street.

Alternative routes will be provided and signed.

This Order will come into force on 20 July 2026, and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after 20 July, and are programmed for completion by 3 August. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(WHIFFENS AVENUE, CHATHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic due to Brook Theatre drainage renewal and footway and carriageway resurfacing after -

Whiffens Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between The Brook and Whiffens Avenue West. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed via Rope Walk.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 22 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 10 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(FRINDSBURY ROAD, ROCHESTER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate water supply repairs -

Frindsbury Road, Rochester – the following roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic - in Frindsbury Road from outside No. 175 to outside No. 235 Road. From the junction with Magpie Hall Road for 50 metres in each of Whyman Avenue; Kitchener Avenue and Shipwrights Avenue.

Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Frindsbury Hill, Frindsbury Road, North Street, High Street, Commercial Road, High Street, London Road, Gravesend Road, Wainscott Northern Bypass, Hasted Road, Four Elms Roundabout, Wulfere Way and Frindsbury Hill, in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 20 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 5 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(HAVEN STREET, WAINSCOTT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable works to remove and replace a decayed telegraph pole -

Haven Street, Wainscott - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the entrance to Islingham Farmhouse for a distance of 100 metres north-westwards. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Islingham Farm Road, Bunters Hill and Comon Road.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 13 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(GRANGE ROAD, STROOD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated remedial works to be carried out -

Grange Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of No. 49 Grange Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Grove Road, Bowes Road and B2002 in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 20 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 20 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
