What is happening?

(CASTLE DOUGLAS SOAP BOX DERBY)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A713 King Street, Castle Douglas between St Andrews Street and Cotton Street junction together with Market Hill Car Park (maintaining access to electric bays from Queen Street) and shall be in force from 06:00 to 20:00 on Sunday 12th July 2026. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate Soap Box Derby Competition. Alt route: via Cotton Street, St Andrews Street, Queen Street and Vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C13S LOCHENBRECK) (TEMPORARY
TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C13s Laurieston Road, Gatehouse of Fleet between the Tennis Courts and Barlay Mill from 0800 on 13/07/2026 to 1700 on 21/07/2026. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate BT ducting works. 

Alternative route available via C13s, B727, A75, A762, C13s and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U157S ST MICHAEL’S CRESCENT)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on U157a St Michael’s Crescent, Crossmichael, (Full Length) from 00:01 to 23:59 on 15/07/2026. 

The suspension is necessary to facilitate safe access/egress to Primary School for HGV movements to remove temporary accommodation units. 

Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
