What is happening?

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (MANSFIELD FOOTPATH NO. 56) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made on 29 May 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert a section of Mansfield Footpath No. 56 commencing from Point V, SK 5098 6404 proceeding in a north-easterly direction through a hedge-line and kissing gate to Point X, SK 5098 6404 then in a north-north-westerly direction to Point Y, SK 5097 6405 and finally in a south-westerly direction to Point Z, SK 5097 6405. Running for a distance of approximately 24 metres on a grass and earth surface with a width of 2 metres as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order, Order Map and Statement of Reasons may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the 15th of July 2026. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at a cost of £5 per copy. Please email

or contact the Nottinghamshire County Council Customer Service Centre on: 0300 500 80 80. The documents will also be available for inspection at Mansfield District Council Offices, Civic Centre, Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield, NG19 7BH and Mansfield Central Library, Four Seasons Centre, WestGate, Mansfield NG18 1NH during the respective opening hours until the 15 th of July 2026. In addition, copies of the Order and the Order map will be available for inspection on-line on the
County Council website:-

Any representations about or objections to the Order must be received by the Countryside Access Team at the address given below or by e-mail not later than the 15 th of July 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made and include your name and address.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Nottinghamshire County Council may themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation
