PROPOSAL: ERECTION OF 6 WIND TURBINES (MAX HEIGHT 180 METRES TO BLADE TIP),
FORMATION OF ACCESS TRACKS, WATER CROSSINGS, TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION COMPOUND, PARKING, ERECTION OF CONTROL BUILDING, ON-SITE SUBSTATION, STORAGE COMPOUND, AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE (ADDITIONAL INFORMATION)
LOCATION: Rowancraig Wind Farm, Sanquhar is subject to environmental impact assessment under the Town and Country Planning (Environment Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 as it is likely to have significant effects on the environment.
Notice is hereby given that an EIA Report has been submitted to Dumfries and Galloway Council by Green Cat Renewables Ltd to the planning application in respect of: ERECTION OF 6 WIND TURBINES (MAX HEIGHT 180 METRES TO BLADE TIP), FORMATION OF ACCESS TRACKS, WATER CROSSINGS, TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION COMPOUND, PARKING, ERECTION OF CONTROL BUILDING, ON-SITE SUBSTATION, STORAGE COMPOUND, AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE (ADDITIONAL INFORMATION)
REFERENCE NUMBER 24/0025/FUL
Possible decisions relative to the application are:
(i) Approval without conditions
(ii) Approval with conditions
(iii) Refusal
A copy of the EIA Report (including Further Environmental Information), the associated application, and other documents submitted with the application may be viewed on-line at www.dumgal.gov.uk/planning or inspected at all reasonable hours where the register of planning applications kept by the planning authority for the area at the Council Offices at Kirkbank House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HS during opening hours during the period of 30 days beginning with the date of this notice.
Hard copies of the Non-Technical Summary are available for £10 per copy and the full EIA Report for £750 per copy.

U862N NITH AVENUE (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U862n Nith Avenue, Dumfries. At this time, the Greensands Car Park will be closed for the duration of the works from 0900 on 22/06/26 to 1700 on 03/08/26.
The closure is necessary to facilitate Whitesands Flood Protection Scheme works. No alternative route available.
Access will be maintained for residents and access to the rowing club, with potential delays. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(B725 DUMFRIES – WATERBECK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close B725 between Kelton and Glencaple from 0800 on 22/06/26 to 1700 on 27/11/26.
Works will be carried out in sections under a rolling road closure and shall have effect only at such times as indicated by appropriate signs.
The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of new HV cables for multiple new substations for network upgrades. Alternative route available via B725, B724, A75, A780, Leafield Road, Brooms Road, B725 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(C126N MORTON HOLM) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C126n at Morton Holm Cottage, Keir Mill, Thornhill from 0800 to 1800 on 23/06/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via A702, C125n, C126n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
