Proposed Major Development – Biorefinery, Grangemouth
Community Consultation

Celtic Renewables Ltd are proposing a major planning application for the development of a biorefinery (class 5), with ancillary office space (class 4), the installation of plant, energy and process infrastructure and associated works. The site forms part of the former Versalis site, to the west of Grangemouth Road (A904), Grangemouth.
In order to share information on the proposals and gather community views, a drop in community consultation event will be held at the Grangemouth Community Education Unit, 69-71 Abbots Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8JE, on Monday the 22nd of June 2026 between 16:00 and 19:30.
Project information will be available to view and comment upon with the design team in attendance. All consultation information can also be accessed from the 22nd of June via

Comments made are not official representations to the planning authority but will be recorded in a report to the Council. Once a planning application is submitted there will be a further formal opportunity to comment to Falkirk Council’s Planning Service
