NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

– Buxton Avenue, Crewe
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Buxton Avenue, Crewe – For the full extent.

The alternative route will be via Bulkeley Street, Hungerford Avenue, Hungerford Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 22nd June 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 13th July 2026.

Prohibition of traffic – Alumbrook Avenue, Holmes Chapel – For the full extent.

The alternative route will be via Alumbrook Avenue, Sandiford Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Monday 15th June 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 26th June 2026.
