(WEST STREET, CLIFFE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable overhead line works to be carried out -

West Street, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of Manor Farm. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Buttway Lane, B2000, Church Street and Higham Road in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 8 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 8 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2017 (AS AMENDED)

Medway Council as Local Planning Authority has received the following applications which are being advertised to ascertain the views of persons living near the sites and other interested parties. The proposed developments relate to one or more of the following:

1. The site of the application is within/affecting the setting of a designated Conservation Area (Section 73) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

2. The application relates to, or affects the setting of a Listed Building (Section 67) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990;

7. The site of the application is affecting the setting of an Ancient Monument

(MIERSCOURT ROAD, RAINHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a telecoms mast to be removed and replaced -

Mierscourt Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the frontage of 348 Mierscourt Road and its junction with Dolphin Drive. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Lonsdale Drive, Deanwood Drive and Dolphin Drive in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Friday, 26 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 26 June 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

NOTICE OF CONSULTATION - MEDWAY LOCAL PLAN 2041

SUPPORTING EVIDENCE DOCUMENTS AND CALL FOR SITES FOR GYPSY AND TRAVELLER, AND TRAVELLING SHOWPEOPLE

PLANNING AND COMPULSORY PURCHASE ACT 2004 AND TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (LOCAL PLANNING) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2012

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, that following submission of the Medway Local Plan 2041 to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government on 18 December 2025, a further consultation on the supporting evidence documents will be held alongside a call for sites exercise for Gypsy and Traveller, and Travelling Showpeople.

The Local Plan supporting evidence documents can be viewed on Medway Council’s website at: Medway.gov.uk/LocalPlanExamination

Due to restricted access at Medway Council’s Gun Wharf office due to building works, physical copies of the Habitats Regulation Assessment and submission evidence documents including transport, strategic flood risk, topic papers, Infrastructure Delivery Plan Delivery Plan, Developer Contributions Guide and additional studies can be inspected during normal opening hours at

Chatham Library & Community Hub (Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TX). There is electronic access to these documents in other public libraries across Medway.

The consultation period runs from Monday, 8 June to Monday, 6 July 2026

Call for sites exercise for Gypsy and Traveller, and Travelling Showpeople:

This call for sites is an opportunity for anyone to suggest land for the Council’s consideration that could be used for development of Gypsy and Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation.

The call for sites period runs from Monday, 8 June to Monday, 20 July 2026

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the installation of a to enable water supply works to be carried out pressure reducing valve -

Beacon Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 222 Beacon Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Beacon Road, Upper Luton Road, Chatham Hill/Rainham Road, Ash Tree Lane and Beacon Road.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 13 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 12 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(MARTIN ROAD, ROCHESTER)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable the laying of new gas service -

Martin Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Brompton Road for a distance of 50 metres in a north-easterly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Wykeham Street and Cross Street.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 15 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 15 June 2026 and are programmed for completion within 8 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable deep cleanse of road in collaboration with Medway Council services, residents and ward councillors -

Eastcourt Lane, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Beechings Way to the junction with Grange Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed.

This Order will come into force on Saturday, 13 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence at 9am and to be completed by 1pm. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
