(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable overhead line works to be carried out -

West Street, Cliffe - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of Manor Farm. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Buttway Lane, B2000, Church Street and Higham Road in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 8 July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 8 July 2026 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a telecoms mast to be removed and replaced -

Mierscourt Road, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the frontage of 348 Mierscourt Road and its junction with Dolphin Drive. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Lonsdale Drive, Deanwood Drive and Dolphin Drive in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Friday, 26 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 26 June 2026 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

NOTICE OF CONSULTATION - MEDWAY LOCAL PLAN 2041

SUPPORTING EVIDENCE DOCUMENTS AND CALL FOR SITES FOR GYPSY AND TRAVELLER, AND TRAVELLING SHOWPEOPLE

PLANNING AND COMPULSORY PURCHASE ACT 2004 AND TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (LOCAL PLANNING) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2012

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, that following submission of the Medway Local Plan 2041 to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government on 18 December 2025, a further consultation on the supporting evidence documents will be held alongside a call for sites exercise for Gypsy and Traveller, and Travelling Showpeople.

This call for sites is an opportunity for anyone to suggest land for the Council’s consideration that could be used for development of Gypsy and Traveller and Travelling Showpeople accommodation.

Eastcourt Lane, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Beechings Way to the junction with Grange Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available and signed.

This Order will come into force on Saturday, 13 June 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence at 9am and to be completed by 1pm. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
