What is happening?

STATUTORY PROPOSAL FOR PRESCRIBED ALTERATIONS TO A MAINSTREAM SCHOOL

Notice is given in accordance with The 
School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations 
to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 
2013 that the Royal Borough of Windsor and 
Maidenhead is proposing to:
(1) change the age range at Hilltop First School, 
Clewer Hill Road, Windsor SL4 4DW.

It is proposed that the age range at school is 
changed from being for children aged 3 to 9, 
to being for children aged 4 to 9. This change, 
which would be from 1st September 2026
would have the effect of closing the school’s 
nursery class.

from Gemma Brewerton-School Place 
Planning Officer by email at schoolplaces@
achievingforchildren.org.uk.

The proposal can 
also be viewed on the borough website at 
https://rbwmtogether.rbwm.gov.uk/Hilltop-Nursery-Class.

Within four weeks from the date of publication 
of these proposals (by Thursday 2nd July 2026), 
any person may object to or make comments 
on the proposal by using the consultation 
response form at the above link; by emailing 
us at schoolplaces@achievingforchildren.org.
uk or by writing to Hilltop First Nursery Class 
Consultation, School Places and Capital 
Team, Zone F, RBWM, Town Hall, St Ives Road, 
Maidenhead, SL6 1RF.
