What is happening?

PUBLIC CONSULTATION FOR HIGHVIEW’S BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE

AT HUNTERSTON PARC, NORTH AYRSHIRE

Highview is bringing forward proposals for an Electricity Act Section 36 consent application for battery energy storage and associated works at Hunterston PARC (formerly the Hunterston Coal Terminal), Hunterston, Fairlie, North Ayrshire, KA23 6EL.

To find out more about Highview’s development, the project team invite you to a Public Exhibition on:

Date: Tuesday 23rd June 2026

Time: 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Location: West Kilbride Village Hall, 1 Arthur Street, West Kilbride, KA23 9EN

This consultation will give local residents and the community the opportunity to learn about the proposal, view materials, and ask the team questions. All consultation materials will also be available online from 2.00pm, 23 June 2026, via the Highview website. Comments can be submitted at the event or in writing by Wednesday 22 July 2026.

It should be noted that comments made to the team are not formal representations. Should an application be submitted, there will be an opportunity to make representations on the application to The Scottish Government at that time.
