WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
COUNCILLORS ALLOWANCES

Notice is given that the Council will adopt, a revised scheme of allowances for
Councillors for municipal years 2026-2027 – 2029-2030. In deciding upon the new
scheme the Council had regard to the recommendations of the Independent
Remuneration Panel which set out recommendations for the payment of allowances.
The table below details the rate of basic allowance and Special Responsibility

(Note: Where a Member undertakes duties which entitle him/her to more than one
SRA under the Scheme, he/she will receive only the higher allowance).
Copies of the scheme of allowances are available for inspection from Democratic
Services, Civic Centre, St Peter’s Square, Wolverhampton during normal office hours
or on the Council's web site.
