(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF

PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to ensure the safety of the public, Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along a 400m section of footpath no. 53662 between grid references 350850, 490736 and 351215, 490614.

No alternative is available for pedestrians.

The Order will come into operation on 01 June 2026 as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, the order may continue in force for a period of up to six months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

The closure will only be in affect between the hours of

8.00 and 18.00 Monday - Friday
