Cairngorms National Park - Review of Core Pathways
What is happening?
CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY
In accordance with section 20(1) of the Land Reform
(Scotland) Act 2003, as amended by the Land Reform
(Scotland) Act 2016, the Cairngorms National Park
Authority has undertaken a review of the Core Paths
Plan and considers the Plan should be amended. Notice
is hereby given under section 20A(1) of the Act that
copies of the original plan, the amended plan and maps
it refers to are available for public inspection at the Park
Authority offices or online at cairngorms.co.uk for 12
weeks from the publication of this notice. Objections or
representations in relation to the amended Plan may
be made in writing to the Cairngorms National Park
Authority, 14 The Square, Grantown-on-Spey, PH26 3HG
no later than Friday 21 August 2026.
Furthermore in accordance with Section 10(1) of
the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005,
determination has been made by the Cairngorms
National Park Authority under section 8(1), that an
environmental assessment is not required in respect of
the amended Core Paths Plan.
