Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath AT154 from Ashford Road to the junction with Public Footpath AT155, from Monday 01 June 2026.

The public footpath will be closed for a maximum of six months, but is expected to reopen sooner.

The path is to be closed because works are planned to repair the surface of the footpath.

There are no alternative routes available.

Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic EE245 in the Parishes of Worth and Sholden

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 sections 16A – C as inserted by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994 section 1.

Kent County Council intends to temporarily close Byway Open to All Traffic EE245 to all motorised traffic, between Dicksons Corner and its junction with Public Footpath EE247 and from the Cinque Ports clubhouse to Greenacres from 00:01 on Monday 29 June to 23:59 on Tuesday 30 June 2026.

The path will be closed to facilitate the holding of The Open Golf Qualifying Series Final at the Royal Cinque Golf Club.

An alternative route is available and can be used by all traffic via Guildford Road from Dicksons Corner, around the golf course and rejoining Byway Open to All Traffic EE245 at its junction with Public Footpath EE247. The alternative route will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath SR432 in the Parish of Leigh

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath SR432 between Green Lane/Wyndham Avenue and the railway arch from the 01 June 2026

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 25 September 2026

The path is to be closed because works are planned near it. Periodic closure to enable to the movement of heavy vehicles to be advised through signage on the ground. As far as is possible public access will be provided when it is safe to do so. The footpath will remain open on weekends and evenings.

No alternative route available when path is closed.
