What is happening?


Proposal to extend two Public Spaces Protection Orders (“‘PSPOs”’)
to restrict access along Footpath WR-858 (Brickfields Walk) and Footpath WR-678 (Kays Crossing)

Worcester City Council is consulting on the use of its powers under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (‘the Act’) to extend two PSPOs in order to:-

1. Restrict access along Footpath WR-858 (Brickfields Walk) at all times and to      all persons for a further period of two years.

2. Restrict access along Footpath WR-678 (Kays Crossing) at all times and to        all persons for a further period of two years.

The PSPOs would extend the existing criminal offence for failure to comply with the Orders, which can be enforced by a police officer, police community support officer and authorised Council officers. A Fixed Penalty Notice of up to £100 can be issued or a fine of up to £1,000 on prosecution.
