Notice of Pre-Application Public Information Days

Date: 10 June 2026, 1 pm – 7 pm Westruther Village Hall Westruther TD3 6ND
Notice is hereby given that Sunlaws Development Company is proposing to develop a Data Centre located in the Scottish Borders, with the Site boundary sitting approximately 11 km west of the town of Duns and 2km south-west of the village of Longformacus.
The Site boundary covers an area of approximately 151 hectares (ha) and would consist of 3 data centre buildings that would be two-stories high and occupy approximately 5-6% of area. It is intended that the data centre would benefit from the proximity of nearby renewable sources and would have a total capacity of approximately 225 MW.
Public Information Days
The first public information sessions will be an early engagement session held in 7 days time, on the 4th of June 2026 between 1 pm – 7 pm, at Longformacus Village Hall. With a consultation event then held on the 10th of June 2026 between 1 pm – 7 pm at Westruther Village Hall. These drop-in events will provide the opportunity to find out more about the project, see early stage visuals to understand the surveys which are being undertaken, and ask any questions to the project team.

Public Representation
Any submission made via the website, post, email, or at the Public Information Day does not form a representation to the Consenting Authority in regard to any application that may be submitted in due course. There will be the opportunity to make a representation to the Consenting Authority, following the submission of an application.
