What is happening?

(GATEHOUSE CYCLE EVENT) 
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C13s Laurieston Road, Gatehouse of Fleet between 1030 and 1400 on 7/6/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate Gatehouse Cycle Event. Alternative route available via A762, A75, B727. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS KIRKCUDBRIGHT) (20 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council propose to make this Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Order will be to make it unlawful to drive a motor vehicle at speeds exceeding 20 miles per hour along the lengths of road detailed in the Schedules to the Order. 

Full details of the draft Order may be inspected between 21/05/26 and 11/06/26 online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or by arrangement (Tel – 01387 271100). 

Objectors must state their reasons in writing to the Assistant Director Transport and Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries DG1 2HR, to be received by 11/06/26.
