Notice of Making of a Public Path Diversion Order, Town & County Planning Act 1990 Section 257, Public Footpat H 15.41 I 5, Meagill Hall, Blubberhouses, LS21 2PF, Fewston Diversion Order 2023 On 30/04/26 North Yorkshire Council confirmed the above Order without modification. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the following Public Footpath: The effect of the Order will be to divert 88 metres of Public Footpath no 15.41/5 from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference 8417,332 N456320 (Point A) the footpath proceeds South for 19 metres to E417333 N456301 (Point B) where it navigates East for 31 metres to E417363 N456302 (Point C) and continues generally East for 38 metres to 8417402 N456308 (Point D). To a new alignment commencing at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference 8417331 N456334 (Point E) where it navigates East for 21 metres lo E417353 N456332 (Point F) & continues East for 44 metres to E417395 N456331 (Point G) where it navigates generally South-East for 25 metres to E.417402 N456308 (Point D) where it rejoins footpath 15.4115. The route will have a width of 2 metres at all points surfaced with grass. The new route is to incorporate 3 pedestrian gates at Points H, I and J as provided by the Order Schedule. A copy of the confirmed Order & Order Plan may be seen free of charge in Reception at Civic Centre, St Lukes Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 1AE during normal office hours or viewed on the Council’s website at:

This Order comes into force on the date on which North Yorkshire Council certifies that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 278 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published 21/05/26 as required by paragraph [7] [8] of Schedule 14 to that Act.
