1. NOTICE is hereby given for the purposes of Section 123 (2a) of the Local Government Act 1972 that The Borough Council of Worthing proposes to dispose of land at Hill Barn Recreation Ground, Hill Barn Lane, Worthing.
2. The intended disposal will be by way of the grant of a lease of the recreation ground for a period of 25 years in order to facilitate future maintenance arrangements whilst maintaining sports activities and public access.
3. A plan showing the areas of the recreation ground affected may be inspected at the Town Hall, Chapel Road, Worthing, BN11 1HA between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted).
4. Persons wishing to make representations relating to the said intended disposal should do so in writing to the Property & Investment Manager, Adur and Worthing Councils, Town Hall, Chapel Road, Worthing, BN11 1HA - ref. Hill Barn Recreation Ground - or by email to

to be received no later than 5.00pm on Thursday 4 June 2026.
